The CEPR RPN Economics of Longevity and Ageing Conference, a landmark collaborative initiative by the CEPR Ageing and Longevity, the OECD Crete Centre on Population Dynamics, EIT Oxford, and the Delphi Economic Forum, will convene in Athens to explore one of the most profound economic transformations of our time.
The conference will cover important topics related to ageing and longevity, including the macroeconomic impact of longer lives, implications of demographic shifts for the evolution of real interest rates, ageing and wealth accumulation, policies to enhance productivity and growth in an ageing society, and how to redesign institutions for the longevity society. Preparing for the demographic transition requires a fundamental rethinking of how individuals and institutions navigate and support different life stages, accompanied by a timely policy action to address the challenges and harness the benefits of a longevity society – with the promotion of healthy ageing at the core of the policy agenda.
This conference serves as a vital platform to delve into these critical issues. Our mission is to foster the exchange of knowledge and drive progress in the field of the economics of longevity and ageing.
