Adrien Auclert is an associate professor of economics at Stanford University, a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), a research fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and a senior fellow of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR). He is a member of the Council of Economic Analysis to the French prime minister and a foreign editor at the Review of Economic Studies.
Adrien received his PhD in economics from MIT in 2015 and has been a visiting fellow at Princeton University and the University of Chicago. Adrien’s research explores the aggregate implications of heterogeneity: how to use micro data to improve our understanding of macroeconomic dynamics and the effects of policy. He has studied monetary policy, fiscal policy, exchange rates, inequality, consumer bankruptcy, price setting, sovereign default, and demographic change. He was awarded an NSF CAREER award in 2021 and a Sloan Research Fellowship in 2022.
